Honeymoon in Turkey? Consider these hotels & resorts in Antalya

September 20, 2017 by David

If you see yourself relaxing along the Mediterranean coastline soaking up a tan and enjoying the spoils by the pool, then Turkey is one of the options that should be at the top of your list. But it isn’t just anywhere in Turkey. Head down to Antalya, the vibrant city that sits along the coastline. Whether you want food, entertainment, nightlife or the opportunity to escape to local nature reserves or nearby towns, you can do this by going to Antalya.

There are several top of the line resorts and hotels in Antalya. You can have the most amazing experience without breaking your bank budget. Choose to have a bed and breakfast, half board or full board. Some of the resorts may even arrange entertainment for their guests.

No matter what you decide, the spoils of Antalya are abundant.

Here are a few places that you should consider for your honeymoon accommodation.

Susesi Luxury Resort

Susesi Luxury Resort, Antalya

This is probably one of the best value for money places where you can stay in Antalya. It’s not located in the main part of town, but its location and its offerings make up for it. The resort boasts luxurious pools, gym, nightclub, several bars, buffet and tennis courts.

Golf courses and beaches are also nearby. Don’t worry about getting food as it is all taken care for you for all of the meals in the day.

Treat yourself to a magical experience.

Prices start from $175 a night for two people.

Budget options

Porto Bello Resort and Spa

Porto Bello Resort, Antalya
Porto Bello Resort, Antalya

I’ve personally stayed here for 10 days on a separate trip and I enjoyed the experience. The pool was nice to relax by and there was an abundance of food that the resort provided. The beach was opposite and they also had some photographers who took some amazing pictures that we cherish.

We were also able to organise transportation from the hotel easily. And it was opposite the beach and not too far into the main part of town.

Definitely worth considering. Prices start from $97 a night per couple for a full board.

Click here to make a booking.

Tip.

You can easily rent a car and venture to neighbouring towns and explore nature reserves. My wife and I went  to a place called Goynyuk, which was amazing with turquoise waters. It was a lovely escape from the city.

If you dare, you can even venture all the way to Kalkan, which is a quieter area that sits along the coastline.

Tours can be organised with the resorts and hotels. Should you fancy a trip up to Pammakule or participate in white water rafting, the guides at the hotel will be happy to help you.

Enjoy!

Consider Sharm-El-Sheik for an affordable honeymoon getaway.

September 17, 2017 by David

Trying to find an affordable all-inclusive beach resort for your honeymoon can be a bit tricky, however if you want to consider going to Sharm El Sheik in Egypt, you will be in for a treat.

If you want to have a honeymoon getaway where you can escape the world that you live in and trade it for an abundance of sunshine, drinks, food and history, then opting to stay in Sharm El Sheik is a perfect option.

Why should you consider Sharm El Sheik as a honeymoon destination?

Sunshine

It rarely rains in Sharm-El-Sheik, so expect to soak up sunrays and experience clear blue skies during your stay. Don’t be surprised if temperatures rise to above 40 degrees. Although it’s hot, it is more of a dry heat and is perfect for diving into the pool so you can feel refreshed.

Beach

Sharm El Sheik is home to a number of beaches and also sits among one of the most beautiful reefs in the world. If you plan to lie down in the sunshine and bask by the sands of the sea, you will have plenty of options to do so here.

One thing to keep in mind is that the sea is quite flat. So you won’t be able to go for a surf. But it is good for doing bodyboarding.

Golf Courses

If you are a budding golfer, then you can enjoy yourself on some of the glorious fairways that Sharm has to offer.

Relaxing pools

You will find an abundance of pools in the resorts. Take a dive, get refreshed and feel amazing.

Entertainment

Many of the resorts provide onsite entertainment, however there’s also nightlife in the centre of the city. Head out to nightclubs, an array of restaurants or smoke flavoured tobacco in their cafes.

Camels

Fancy riding on a camel? You will find plenty of vendors offering you a ride in Egypt.

Snorkelling

Sharm El Sheik sits on one of the most amazing reefs in the world. Take a half or full day trip out into the ocean and enjoy snorkelling and seeing the array of colours the local aqualife has on offer.

Indulgence

Finally, pamper yourself. Opt for spa treatment, massages and relaxation therapy.

Where are some places that you should consider staying?

I’ve split the options into high-end, mid-tier and low budget options. Each of the options are recommended and should give you the best value for money, depending on what you can afford and the experience that you want to have at the resort.

High End

Rixos Seagate Sharm

Rixious Seagate Sharm
Rixious Seagate Sharm

Exclusive to families and married couples, this resort can be the ideal getaway for your honeymoon. Whilst it isn’t the cheapest option, it is definitely one of the more refined resorts that you can choose from.

Rooms start from $363 per night.

Mid Tier

Low Budget

Sultan Gardens Resort

Located in Shark Bay, this one is probably the pick of the low budget resorts. You can opt for just having breakfast included or you can upgrade to have a full board that includes dinner as well. The rooms are luxurious and contain a hot tub. There’s also a mini golf course and private beach on site.

The resort is also adjacent to an 18 hole golf course and has panoramic views of the Sinai mountains. Wi-Fi is also available in the rooms and in the public areas.

Prices start from $61 a night.
